I am many things — celebrant & ritual creator, event planner, writer, dreamer, and believer in magic.

I am one of those people who LOVE love. I also love life, and try my very best to see the beauty and magic in all things.

I draw wisdom from mindfulness practices and Eastern philosophy. I am an ordained Hebrew Priestess through the Kohenet Institute and appreciate the Jewish mystical tradition and feminist perspective they teach. I am also just a person, who has been on my own bizarre journey of self-reflection, self-acceptance and integration.

I am an out-of-the-box thinker — traditional in some ways and completely far out in others. Very little surprises me and I pride myself in my ability to understand a variety of life experiences and personal choices. I am open-minded, experimental, and totally curious about YOU.

I currently live in Santa Cruz, California with my husband and our two wily dogs.

Hello! My name is Mischa.

Why I Do This Work

After getting married, I realized what an important rite of passage it is and how under-tended it is in our society.

My husband and I struggled a LOT more than anticipated during the wedding planning. We ran into all sorts of roadblocks and challenges that had us stressed and questioning the entire experience. We needed help and it was hard to come by.

So, I took notes about the moments where we needed support. Now I help guide couples through those exact moments we struggled through alone.

Whether people like it or not — marriage is going to be life changing. I think it’s better to be as prepared as possible for that change.

When a couple is emotionally, mentally and spiritually prepared, their actual wedding day (and the years to follow) can be truly incredible.

That’s why I do what I do. I believe marriage is a major rite of passage and no couple should have to go through it alone. I hope to be like a wedding midwife, helping guide you through the wedding portal and integrate your experience afterward.
